OUR TEAM
The work of a doula can be equal parts soul-nourishing and equal parts soul-giving as we give our whole hearts to the families we work with. We're so blessed to not do this work alone and to have a beautiful village to lean on. Through the years of expanding our business as a doula duo, we've been fortunate to attract an abundant tribe of like-minded doulas. We have ten uniquely wonderful doulas on our team, which allows us to reach more families in both OC and SD through this important work. Finding your perfect doula is all about finding the doula who matches your energy and values. Our team offers a range of price point options, and we invite you to explore all that we have to offer!

Kelsey Krueger
Soul Shine Birth Co-Founder
Birth + Postpartum Doula, Childbirth Educator, Breastfeeding Educator and Blessingway Keeper
For as long as Kelsey can remember, she’s had a love for birth and babies. As a kid, she had an impressive baby doll collection to prove it and one of the very first shows she remembers watching on repeat is TLC's "A Baby Story". Her journey to birth work was long and sometimes unexpected (she used to work in tech sales). In retrospect, Kelsey says it’s in these unexpected places where the beauty of her soul's purpose was unveiled.
In 2020, after a seven-month-long soul-searching solo backpacking journey around the world, she found her calling to work intimately with women. Today she says she’s living out her life’s purpose, and she feels so blessed. Currently, she’s passionate about educating and providing resources on fertility as she goes through her own personal journey.
Kelsey’s energy is down-to-earth meets divine feminine power. She’s not a "one size fits all" kind of doula. Instead, Kelsey thrives on individual and inclusive connections. She believes deeply that each and every woman deserves to step into her power as she is born into her life as a mother. She wants to remind you that you're here, and that's your first step to owning your power. You are your best investment, and she sees and supports you!

Aurora Sullivan
Soul Shine Birth Co-Founder

Birth + Postpartum Doula, Childbirth Educator, Breastfeeding Educator and Blessingway Keeper
Aurora is an east coast transplant who manifested being a birth worker from a young age! As a young girl, she would make drawings of mamas in labor that would say words like “breathe with me”. Rori was always asking to hold babies and be a mother’s helper until she was old enough to be a nanny. Once she was, it served a special purpose in her life for eleven years. She navigated through different career passages that were in the realm of birth but weren’t quite what she was looking for. It was when she was living in Arizona that the family she nannied for brought it to her attention what a doula was. Almost immediately, in 2017, she realized that doula work was the perfect job for her. Aurora received her birth doula, postpartum doula, breastfeeding educator and childbirth education certifications and is always eager to learn more. As of more recently, she is also a placenta specialist!

Aurora is wildly passionate about providing education to families so they can make informed decisions that are best for them. Being a doula through the birth and postpartum journey is truly an honor for her. Aurora believes in the body’s ability to give birth and is so grateful to support women emotionally, physically and spiritually through the portal to motherhood.

Cristina Merino-LaDuke
Birth Doula and Breastfeeding Educator
Cristina is a wife, mama of two, hairstylist by day and certified birth doula by night (more often than not)! While her passion for birth and motherhood has always been present, a fire was lit while preparing for and birthing her firstborn. She then knew she had to be a loving source of support, guidance and education throughout pregnancy and birth for mothers to be.
Together with Cristina, you’ll find the best ways to nurture your mind, body and spirit, and see to it that you slow down, look inward and tap into the intuitive power that you possess as a mother. As you prepare for birth, Cristina will listen to your wishes, help calm your fears and ultimately provide you with the knowledge and tools to help you have the empowered birthing experience you deserve.
Pregnancy and birth are so wonderfully unique to each individual, and however your experience unfolds, it is Cristina’s wish that you feel both confident and in control on the day you finally meet your baby. She is honored to be your doula.

Wendy Radin
Birth Doula and Breastfeeding Educator
Wendy has wanted to work with women having babies for as long as she can remember. After the birth of her third child, she started teaching Childbirth Education Association classes. Through this exposure, she had the privilege of attending many births: some in the hospital, some at home, a cesarean, a home breech and one out in the middle of nowhere with no electricity! She loved every one of them.
Wendy went to school to be a doula full-time in late 2000. She later decided to get as much experience as possible, so she started interning at South Coast Midwifery. She completed this training in September 2021 and had the honor of attending multiple births during that time.
Her goal today as a doula is to guide the birthing mom and her partner to be the best possible team in childbirth. She's trained in both Lamaze and Hypnobabies, which she brings into her support. She strives to be your guide and the person you can turn to with any questions or needs regarding a beautiful, informed birth. She’s not there to judge or take over, but rather she's a calming support to make your birthing experience as comfortable as possible.

Madison Marshall
Birth Doula and Breastfeeding Educator
Madison is a passionate Hypnobirth Doula and Student Midwife. Growing up the eldest of four daughters, she felt an overwhelming and natural urge to be another motherly presence for her siblings. With her mother also being a birth worker, she was exposed to the miracles of birth work from a very young age. Her life's passion was solidified as she caught her youngest sister, pulled her up out of the water in the birth pool and placed her on her mother’s chest. Since then, she has devoted her life to encouraging women to unleash their full birthing power and discover the strength they have in this world.
After supporting many births under the moon’s soft glow, she realized the deep feminine connection to the moon. Over the years, she has been leaning into her spirituality in order to guide her through this sacred practice. She also aims to follow an ancestral way of living by deepening her consciousness, nourishing her body as her ancestors did and understanding the importance of movement. Learning from her own health journey, she offers nutritional, supplemental, herbal and stretching expertise in order to help her clients optimize their health during the childbearing year.
In the birth room, Madison uses Spinning Babies techniques, breath work and various comfort measures to help mothers feel at ease. She trusts her strong intuition and experience to provide comfort and serenity in her client’s birth space.

Samantha Aguayo
Birth + Postpartum Doula and Breastfeeding Educator

With both pregnancies and births came many challenges that without the support of the women around her she felt she would’ve never made it back to herself again. It was through her own birth into motherhood that she began to understand the importance of the “village” and other women putting the pieces of her back together as she was born into her new role. Once she met Kelsey and the Soul Shine community her eyes opened to what her calling was: Mothering the Mother.
Samantha is passionate about the bond between mother and baby during pregnancy, birth and postpartum. She hopes to nurture that in the mothers she works with so that when it’s her time to step away, mom and baby have all the tools they need to walk into this new life together. Through her own experiences and education Samantha is an amazing advocate for the families in her care, giving them the knowledge they need to have a beautiful empowered birth, breastfeeding and postpartum experience.
